What is Sealcoat?

Sealcoat is a protective wear surface that fills micro cracks and prevents your pavement from losing important flexibility. It extends the life of your pavement by preventing water penetration and creating a new surface for traffic and weather to act on.

Sealcoat is a mix of asphalt, water, aggregate, and other fillers. Sealcoat is a cold applied asphalt surface treatment. Our sealcoat manufacturer emulsifies fine particles of asphalt into a water solution and then adds fibers and fine aggregates. We then follow manufacturer specs and spray or squeegee the sealcoat onto your pavement. After our application, water evaporates leaving a thin new surface made of asphalt, fine aggregates and other fillers.
